For years, creator marketing was judged on likes and views. Finance teams never trusted those numbers, and they were right not to. Here is how to measure creator ads the same way you measure search or social.
Track every click to an outcome
Every creator gets a unique tracking link. When someone taps it, the click is recorded and passed to your MMP (for apps) or pixel (for websites). When that person installs, signs up or buys, the outcome is matched back to the creator who drove it.
The four numbers that matter
- Cost per click (CPC): what you pay to get someone to your page or store.
- Conversion rate: how many of those clicks do the thing you want.
- Cost per acquisition (CPA): spend divided by conversions.
- Return on ad spend (ROAS): revenue divided by spend.
Filter out the noise
Not every click is real. Bots and repeated taps inflate numbers and waste budget. Make sure every click is checked before you pay for it, and that invalid traffic is removed from your reports.
Compare like for like
Put creator results in the same report as your other channels, using the same attribution window. If creator CPA beats your paid social CPA, you have your answer.
Popbrain connects with six major MMPs, so creator results land in the dashboard you already use.
